Easter is coming up quick this weekend, but it’s not too late to turn up the decor for your spring celebration! These five additions to your tablescape will be sure to impress your guests.
The spring table you see here was a collaborative shoot inspired by PIE. Of all the wonderful things. I only have a mild (OK it was bad) obsession with baking pies. The lovely Kirsten, from Kirsten Smith Photography, was inspired by the thought of delicious spring baked goods on a table, decked out in pretty spring tones and vintage composition. The primary focus of this design was to create something that was fresh and elegant, but completely attainable on a budget. Together with Rogue Petal Co. and a few other creatives, we put together this gem of a spring display at the beautiful Overhills Mansion in Catonsville, MD.

1 . Faux Florals


2 . Vintage-Style Vases
The options are endless with the vases you choose to put them in. The best part is, the theme here is mix-matched so you don’t need a set! For the shoot, I scoped vintage, colored glass vases from 2nd hand stores. Unique vases are often easy finds when it comes to thrifting! I also snagged the pink bud vases from the Target dollar section for $1 each and the little green vases from Hobby Lobby for $2 (link below).

3 . Dessert Centerpiece
Hey, we all know that your mother-in-law makes the meanest carrot cake you’ve ever had. And if you love to bake, you can make it the focus of your table spread! However, sometimes it’s okay to seek out the skills of a local baker because you ain’t got time for all that.
Insert: Allie from Bramble Baking Co. who made the delicious citrus and thyme cake with lemon curd and meringue buttercream (long title, absolutely worth the mention). I am telling you, it was both a gorgeous component to the table (as seen by photographic evidence here) and absolutely flawless in taste. I felt like I was on the Great British Baking Show—queue Mary Berry! She decorated the cake with a bright lemon curd on top and then added the fresh flowers. This can be done with fresh or faux flowers on any dessert you choose as the centerpiece.
Marcie used a cake stand for added elevation of the cake. You can find a wooden cake stand that is similar and doesn’t break the bank here.
