Other ways to support the community during the COVID-19 pandemic that do not require financial donations:
Give blood at the Red Cross. They have a critical need during this time due to the outbreak. Schedule an appointment here.
Donate dry and canned food to your local food bank. Find one in close to you here.
100 Million Mask Challenge for those who can sew! You can find more info on making masks here.
If you know of any elderly or high-risk neighbors that might need help getting groceries, you might be able to help so they don’t have to leave their home.
Once you’ve stocked up on the necessities, don’t continue to go out. Limit exposure to you and everyone else by taking less frequent trips.
And lastly, stay home and distant as much as humanly possible. Here is more information on why it is so important via Vox.
